WANTED: Wanted Hydrangea cuttings

Would any one be willing to send me hydrangea cuttings if I paid postage. I prefer blues but pinks would be welcome too. I haven't a lot to trade but can supply iboza cuttings or pods from Queen crepe myrtle. Very invasive and deciduous tree with a lovely display ideal for large blocks.

Jan The colour of hydrangas depends on the soil they are grown in...acid soil gives one colour and alkaline soil the other...the deepness of the shade is dependant on the degree of acidity (or alkalinity)....I can never remember whether it is the same as litmus paper or the reverse....I think Blue comes from acid(ie the opposite of litmus)...maybe someone can help me here....I can get some cuttings for you but they will not be flash vars cheers Peter |

| We have mainly deep blue hydrangeas due to our very acidic soil. There are patches that are less acidic and the hydrangeas go slightly pink. You can always change the makeup of your soil to make it more acidic, if you must. :) We cut our hydrangeas way back 2 months ago or so, so I can't offer any cuttings. Sorry. |
