HAVE: Black Bamboo

I have black bamboo. This is supposed to be non invasive and would appear that this is correct. It is clumping and has produced clumps so that I have some to spare.
If you could tell me how to prepare it for sending then that would be helpful as I have no idea.
It apparently is not very keen on frost but mine seems to turn a much darker black over winter. Brisbane winter.I have it screening a back fence....just need to grow a few inches higher so we no longer witness the naked antics of the people in the house below..
so if you want some email me. If you are in Brisbane it may be easier to call in and collect it...up to you really

I would love some black bamboo, sorry I really don't know how to pack it but when I send plants I wrap the roots with damp news paper & then put clad wrap over the damp paper. I try to use a cardboard box for shipping the plants. Is there anything that you are looking for in exchange. Just give me a quick email & we'll work it out.
Cheers
Vicki

I would like a clump of black bamboo. I have Durantas (Sheen's Gold and Geisha Girl plus a varigated two-tone green leaf called Sydney 2000) - durantas are good screening plants which have blue flowers and yellow berries later, grow about 2 metres high. Also large and small mondo grass, Moses in the Basket, Cannas. Let me know if you are looking for something?

I would love some bamboo please. I am hoping to create a small 'tropical effect' in one part of my garden.
I don't have naked antics happening, only a yukky wooden fence to cover.
I mainly grow Aussie natives and would willingly send you some cuttings. Being in Kingaroy am not too far from Brissy, so posting should be fine if you send bamboo, roots wrapped in damp tissue,(damp roots only covered in plastic to avoid postal problems). Thanks heaps, Karen.

Hi, just wondered if you still had some clumps of bamboo available - I know it is a couple of months since you posted this message. Just starting a project that this would be ideal for and live in Brisbane so can come collect it. Hoping you have some left!
Ross.

Have been off-line for long time but would love some of that black bamboo if still a possibility - have daylilies to exchange if interested. Not sure re best mailing but would guess that damp newspaper would keep it alive.
Ian.
