RE: WANTED: Cananga Odorata v. Fruticosa dwarf variety

Hello,
Did you find what you are looking for?
I have both of these and hunted forever for the var. fruticosa. It is barely fragrant compared with the normal variety but only grows about a meter and a half and is a great little pot specimen. var. fruticosa is probably the best for you as you will need to bring it indoors when the weather gets anything less than tropical.
Having said that you should contact Yuruga Native nursery in FNQ for the normal variety (I sent them 2 kilos of seed about a year and a half ago so they should have some)! Limberlost Nursery here in Cairns for the var. fruticosa. If you have no luck then send me an e-mail and I will see what I can do. Var. fruticosa is generally propagated by cuttings which can be hard to strike. I had mine on loan to Limberlost for them to propagate and they had quite a few for a while.
Good luck,
Brendon
