If anyone has Bearded Iris they are dividing I'd be interested in either a trade or to buy - must be in Tas though because of quarantine.

Are there restrictions on importation of bearded irises into Tas? I thought they only had to be free of soil? Wish I could help you out. I am in the middle of digging around 300 varieties of TB's and heaps of medians. Still plenty if others are interested in contacting me off list. Cheers, Jan |

I was going on your post in which you said you couldn't send to Tas so I assumed you knew more than me. I bought some in from Garden Express last year with no problems but the dog dug them up and ate them. Since you said not to Tas I've been looking elswhere. If you change your mind I'd be very interested. Cheers Linda

Jan, you contacted me direct about irises, just wondering if your offer still available? Cheers Linda

Linda, we've got quite a few bearded irises. Are there restrictions where sending them to Tas is concerned? If not, I can dig some up, if you like. There are various colours, such as blue, yellow, some strange purple ones, mixed, etc.

I don't think there are restrictions - I bought some from a commercial place and they came without any soil and in a bag with a few wood shavings. I'd think that so long as you wash the soil off the roots it shouldn't be a problem. I'd really appreciate some - I am working on the front of the house now and want roses and irises to be the theme.
