White sapote seeds

I've been given 4 White Sapote seeds. Anyone know how best to go about germinating them? They're still slimy with fruit pulp.

try the link below they recommend cleaning the seed. I'd keep it in a cloche to keep the humidity high

Thanks for that paradisi. I'll clean them up, wrap them in some moist coir peat and store them in the fridge until next year when I'll sow them in the ground.

raymondo - the fridge may kill the seed - they're tropical plants and the cold could do them in. I don't know for certain, but that's my guess.

And watch where you plant it, I had one and it took over the whole yard!Had to get rid of it, fruitflies like them too.
