Sweet Potatos Have Lift Off!

Posted by berry (My Page) on

So happy.......................Big thanks for the advice Len and cestrum

My sweet potatos are shooting all over the place! Like a Wild West show here at present! My dishes of sweet potatoes on the bench are shooting remarkably and it is a wonderful Christmas present!

Even the one that had rooted but not shooted and I had planted and was just wrinkling up - I put a glass frame over it (as in cestrums post re. 5 months of warmth) and it has shooted wonderfully as well.

Merry Christmas and thanks

I would like to know about the sweet potato story.

Do I just let them sprout and stick em in the ground ?

g'day popi,

that's just about it hey too easy. i just make enough of an indent in the soil to cover the sprouted section then as they grow mulch them until the mulch reaches my desired capacity.

happy new year
