| Hello I thought I posted this message a week ago so I am writing an abridged version. I am renting I planted various passionfruit vines 1 year ago i will leave this house soon and my vines and garden will be scraped away by a tractor..........can I wait till winter cut my vine and trim roots and transplant? I realise my actions will prob shock vines, reduce life or kill but this will occur in any event. Are my efforts in vain has anyone had success.....I have put significant work into cultivating dif varieties and i wish to enjoy the fruits of my labours. Perhas cuttings is the answer! I wuld like some advice please. Cheers. |

| Hi Jamie, I am no expert, however, I have heard that passion fruit vines need replacing every few years. They grow very fast and after an initial burst of production decline and need to be replaced by a new plant. This said does not mean that you cannot try and replant your vines. As far as the method of replanting goes, I have no experience but you can use a different one for each plant and see what works best. I sold a mature tree from my front garden and the professionals came, dug a trench around the tree, 2m i diameter and told me to water well this trench for 2 months. After that they came with a crane and a digger and took the tree away. |
