Not sure if anybody is interested, but if you are, you could add your name (and photo, if you like) to the Cornucopia map.

Here is a link that might be useful: Cornucopia Map

You all look wonderful.
Somehow I pictured Adam as being somewhat older :-)

RE: Where are all the gardeners?

Nah - I reckon he's in a time warp......
The only problem I had was that it wouldn't let me put in my real location - so I had to put Burnie. For the record Burnie is not a nice place like Fossil Bluff....

Same as Me, Cozz. I had to put in Sydney instead of Armidale. It knew where I was , But couldn't position me on the map. Oh Well, I'm 540 kms North of Sydney, on top of a mountain range which goes down as far as tassie.

RE: Where are all the gardeners?

Had a look at the map and there are only five people on it Spatz and you are not one of them. So, where are all the gardeners? Including you.

I bet the reason is the map is very restricted on lacation and most of us object being put down as being soewhere that is administratively convenient. If they can't get it right they should not go for half measures.

RE: Where are all the gardeners?

Bit of fun I reckon. I've put one up for my cosmic mob - /panplanet instead of cornocopia after the / using a world map.

One of the defaults for the maps is that you can zoom to different view - the administrator does this - so it might be worth playing around with that to get a bit more detial, maybe the zoom is too wide. It's just a Beta version an seems to be tied into Google Earth which is magic!

RE: Where are all the gardeners?

Well, I put a real photo this time. The other one was of a poor child off the internet who actually looked like that.
I'd liked to have put a photo of my recent garden, and may in fact.
It's really fun being naughty, and I recommend it to everyone.

RE: Where are all the gardeners?

I'm there, Snoopy. :)

Yeah, just a bit of fun. That's all.

(I did realise that it might help to use the GardenWeb ID when putting yourself on the map.)

I just added myself too tho I had to put Perth instead of Donnybrook (which is 200km south of Perth) they didn't even have Bunbury, oh well, maybe later. Its nice to put faces to names.

Cheers, Jules

RE: Where are all the gardeners?

It finally allowed me to join Spatz.
I've just realised that I'm wearing the same shirt today as I am in the photo, but my hair's a different colour!

RE: Where are all the gardeners?

I THINK I just added myself (sans photo) and they DID have Mudgee!
Must only be the really important centres that rate a mention...

RE: Where are all the gardeners?

My home page on that site says "You currently have no friends".

That's amazing...how do computers know these things????

 o
RE: Where are all the gardeners?

I've tried a few times. It says I'm there but I can't find me. Hmmmmmm........

 o
RE: Where are all the gardeners?

Ray, I can see you. *waves to ray*

Shax, don't worry, I haven't got any friends either. So the computer says.

We're a friendless bunch, I don't have any friends either, apparently. I wonder who else is brave enough to put their mug on the map LOL.

Cheers, Jules

RE: Where are all the gardeners?

You talked me into it after reading this string. I eventually got there, photo included, but it rejected the major town near where I live - not big enough to be on the map, so my tiny village had no hope. I'm listed under Townsville, but really nearer to Ingham if 30kms can be considered near.

RE: Where are all the gardeners?

Just have to say that you guys make me laugh so hard!! I love that the computer tells you guys that you 'have no friends'! Hee, hee!!

Will put my details on here when i get my digital camera for Christmas.

Thanks Spatz, this was a great idea!

Cheers

Cheers, Jules

Hi Mabb, I don't get the popup so I was wondering which browser you are using. I am using firefox, there's no way near as many popups and you can get rid of some advertising though not all. Glad to see you joined us friendless lot. LOL Cheers, Jules
