Hi Joanne. I know I am not Grub or Raymondo but burkes backyard are actually Costiluto di Marmande. They were renamed by Don Burk . Turned out quite well really as the tomato is as tasteless as the man himself.
Good luck with the others, they should be really good. I have a Gregoris Altai with fruit all over it, fantastic plant. Hope it tastes good.
Cheers Mantis

Hi Joanne,
I'll get the seeds away ASAP. Couldn't agree more with Mantis.

Hey, Mantis, those GAs are a really reallly good prolific big early with a 8/10 taste. Just a great tomato and so loyal well into the season. Can't wait to hear what you think.

I cant wait to taste them Grub. I have two of them in the greenhouse, one on the sunny side that is loaded up with fruit and the other on the shady side that is just starting to flower. The sunny side one is growing at least an inch a day, and is only being outdone by Soldaki, which is threatening to hit the GH roof in about a month.

RE: Attention Grub & Raymondo

In a prime sunny spot, my GA hit about 5-6ft plus a foot or two for a lateral that ranged to another stake. B

ut that bloomin' Soldacki hit the top of an 8ft stake, so about 7ft, then I cut a stake and added a 2ft sectioin with a stainless-steel hose clip. Lol. And it was loading up right up there.

I hope it works out for your coz it's a great tomato. Loaded, no too much foliage, no sunscold, great taste. Meaty. Sliced up nicely. It's back this year for me :)

Strange. It didn't do anything for me last season. Fruit was so-so. Not very prolific at all. Hmmm.... it's not back this season, but I might consider giving it another go next season.

RE: Attention Grub & Raymondo!

Its my first go with Soldaki Spatz, so I'll let you know how it goes for sure. If it loaded up for Grub and Finbar then prehaps in needs some humidity to help it set fruit.

You are right about the sparse foliage Grub. It looks like a tree.

This seems like a classic case of horses for courses. No wonder we all beg to differ. In my limited experience, the early/cold tolerant genre doesn't generally do that well here.
