I have a small longan tree which will be ready to be planted out soon. Has anyone had any success with these before ? How large does the tree grow ? How many years before it produces ?

Haven't grown them myself but my sister has one in Sydney that is only a couple of years old. It is growing but slowly in very poor sandy soil! Can't really help with any details about this, but the following link may be interesting to you.

Here is a link that might be useful: Longan Info

RE: Longan trees

my grafted longan tree is approx 10 yrs old and 15ft high (S/E Qld). It's heavily shaded all winter.. the grafted section fruited early but didnt grow much.. I allowed the rootstock to grow and it fruited the first time last year and this year is laden with flowers. The fruit stores well for many weeks in the fridge.
