Fruit trees

Hi
I was wondering if anyone knew of a website where i can type in a particular fruit tree variety and a small 'blurb' of what it's 'famous for' will pop up? I was hoping for a site which covered a lot of different varities not just your popular fruit trees. Any help would be most appreciated!

Cheers
Lyn

Lyn, first thing that pops into my mind is Louis Glowinski's "Complete Book of Fruit Growing in Australia".

I've always got it within reach to look up all kinds of weird and wonderful fruit trees.

So, if you haven't got that yet, treat yourself to this book. I got it from a mail order book place for an extremely good price. Send me an email if you'd like their contact details. No guarantee though that they'll still have it. :)

Hi Lyn,

I found this Aussie website recently.

There is a large minimum order amount ($100.00 + postage), but a few friends sharing an order should cut costs.

Hope this is of some help.
