I planted a grapevine in 1990.
The berries are tasteless, is this common.

I've got a Ruby seedless (amongst others) and it's only a yr old so I can't comment yet. I know from reading that many seedless do not have as much flavour as seeded grapes. When compared to other seedless grapes how would you rate them? I'm interested to see.

I live on an average block and only have the one grape vine so I cant compare. I am very disappointed with the ruby seedless. We are into our 10th year of drought, that could be a reason for no flavour or it could be my soil is not suitable.

I don't think that water changes the taste, however it will determine the size and juice content. I assume these arent the issue. I know wine grape growers cut the water off (or severely reduce it) in the last month to increase the sugar content. Perhaps too much water in the last few weeks?

Thank you Pepino, that makes sense.
Could you tell me, how do I save my post. Where do they go. How do I access them.

I don't know if you can save a post. They just go down the list as new ones are added. There are a few pages of them and when it gets to the end I think it just drops off.
