tiny white flies on oranges and mandarin trees

For the first time we have small white flies on the fruit on two of our citrus trees. We are having a very unseasonally dry period here and I dont know whether that has caused it. I would be grateful of any organic remedy anyone could suggest. The leaves are also looking a bit dry but that could be the very dry weather.

Shelley, they are Ash whitefly. There is an epidemic of them in SA this year. Try a product like 'Yates Green Earth aphid-mite spray', 'Multicrop BugGuard' and 'Agrobest or Yates Naturasoap'. They are potassium insecticidal soap products and kill by contact so you have to be thorough with your spraying.

cheers

Thanks so much for that James. I will try it.
