 o
cassava cultivation Melbourne

I have 3 cassava still with leaves (that are now shedding) they are from Daleys (where I get some fabulous plants highly recommended)I have planted them in a sheltered spot free draining and a good sandy loam mixed with lots of organic. They receive sun (when it is shining) all day.
I have watered them in with seaweed and biodynamic fish emulsion.
I am wondering if anyone in Melbourne is growing cassava and can help with their care...ie should I have plastic around them in winter (never gets frosty here)
I had cassava once beforeplanted as rooted cuttings in winter and they perished..I love cassava and desperately want it to grow Any comments and help is much appreciated

cheers

You could try Camilla at Diggers Club in Dromana...I think she may have some growing there
