It must be a record

The top dozen topics do not mention the word associated with those round red (sometimes) things everyone seems to love to talk about all the time....this must be some sort of record for this forum

Hmmm... red, round? Lemme think.

I picked a record green, round thing today. Weighed 367 grams. Wow. Must take a piccie before I dry it, or eat it, or put in a pie, or crumble...

There are more of these on the tree. Can't wait. :)

I picked a basket full of red, yellow, black round things just a minute ago. Would these be the kind you were referring to?

It's a revolution!, I just don't understand how such a boring weed got so popular in the first place, it doesn't even cause addictions when smoked, probably kill you 1000 times faster than eating them though :p so don't try that

Yeah!, Those red ROUNDISH things sure do taste good and are sooooo versatile. But just can't get my jollies by growing a thousand different varieties. Maybe 3 or 4 :)

*Reaches for light sabre, only to find it has been replaced with a tomato stake*

I really had a chuckle reading that Justin!

Peter, it won't be long before the mania takes hold again... I'm wondering how I can grow all the varieties I'd like to now that I've ruled out the garden bed as a suitable spot. Last season I had 15 tomato plants in that bed, so that means squeezing in at least 20 more containers somewhere, LOL (allowing for inevitable extras). And I need better container soil - last year's was a disaster! I'll be needing about 120 containers (25 litre) full.

Spatz, I'd be interested in growing a seedling of your next generation from that Mortgage Lifter (Pesta strain) you grew last season. I'd like to compare it with the F2s I'll be growing from the plant I grew last year. Are you planning to grow any from yours? Then I could just grab a seedling off you at some point. If not, please may I have some seeds?

PP, you can have as many seeds as you like. I won't be growing it this year. There are far too many new exciting varieties that I'm keen to try.

120, ey? Good luck. I'm trying to grow less than I did last year.

Me too :) About 40 will be for chillies probably, so only about 80 for tomatoes this year.

Hi Patrina,
I did'nt realize you were back home. I've still got the wish list you left sitting in the kitchen and will get them posted out asap.
BTW I also received an unexpected parcel of seeds from Glenn yesterday so it's time to start planting red !!!! things again.
Cheers Rosco

Hi Rosco!

Yes, I arrived back 2 weeks ago, trying to adjust to winter, but spring's getting real close... Yep, it's time to start I reckon, but I have one more quick trip away first. I'm going to visit Adam and Ray to check out their new garden!

Hope you guys have a good season this year over there in NZ :)

Patrina

Oh no, almost time to go into hiding for the Summer, until the frost comes once again and brings balance to the Force
