I am trying to grow Blueberries on the Central Coast of NSW. Is it too warm for them here?

I am fairly sure there is a variety that grows in warmer climates such as yours - do a Google search and see what comes up. Robyn

Dear Robert, There is quite a substantial group of blueberry growers up here on the far north coast, you just need to grow the right variety.I suggest you contact the Wollongbar agricultural Institute and they will give you all the information needed. Regards Kirsten

Digger's Club, in its 'Autumn Garden 2005' catalogue, lists a blueberry variety called Vaccinium 'Sunshine Blue'. It describe this one as 'with a low chilling requirement'. When I tried to order it, however, they were out of stock...

I used to grow "Rabbit-eye" varieties in WA with excellent results.

Have a look at Daleys web site. They have a search facility and list quite a few that would be suitable. Hazel.
