Blight and seeds

Being the inexperienced tommy grower that I am, could anyone tell me if it is safe to keep seeds from a plant that is showing signs of blight or will the blight be in the seeds? I had meant to save some seeds from the San Marzano which was doing so well, but it looks as though it might have EB.

You're safe, Woori, the fungal nasties don't travel within seeds. Their preferred method of travel is through the air on the breeze. The spores can live on on the surface of the soil, too, so it's wise to turn over the top of the soil to bury them before planting next season.
