| Was doing I bit of rearanging of the patch the other day, when I looked at Peters cuke and thought, well it may as well go, as it has done nothing. I bent down to heave it out of the ground when I noticed two nice cukes about 6 inches long hanging off it. Further detective work came up with two more. So, Peter, you could have told me it was a slow motion cuke.

| Allan, come to the conclusion that it aint slow, it just dont like the heat..cools off a tad n takes off..Just like the Pumkins... Two cuke plants come up all on their own lonesome next to the Pumkin vines??..Was about ta pull em out n thouhght??, Nah!! leave em be...Now they are taking over the trellis where the last lot climbed and small cukes everywhere:)... jbrules, Cukes is short for Cucumbers:)... Cheers |

| Good news on the cukes. I had some beauties but now they are shrivelling at pickled cuke size. Not sure why. Ideas, anyone? ):grub. |

| I have had loads of cucumbers this year. I alway put in the lebaneses ones. I have made a few preserves out of them too. Jan |
