Golden Syrup Pudding - nah nah nah, finbar!

| Back from Rutherglen. I promised finbar to post a picture of Julie's Golden Syrup Pudding. We had it last night as dessert after the Schnitzel orgy.
Here it is before the little piggies had a go at it:
And here it is properly served with cream and vanilla icecream. Oozing with golden syrup. Decadent.

| It was incredible, we all started very properly, and then just pigged 'til we couldn't move. Bacchanalian in the extreme. We thought of roasting a virgin but they were a bit thin on the ground. |

| That is it! You lot have hit the pits as far as I'm concerned! All this talk about Rutherglen - which might as well be at the other end of the universe *and* posting pictures of humongous ripe tomatoes for MONTHS before I can even scrounge an under-flavoured early cherry and *now* THAT PHOTO. Yes, that one up there. The second one. It's almost pornographic. And I'm on a diet... wahhhhh... and the nearest shop that might have golden syrup is miles away. And it's 45ºC out there so I can't go out anyway. Grumble... grumble... grumble... Amanda

| We thought of you with every bite Amanda. I promise you're welcome to come to Armidale to visit. Ray and I will treat you like a queen. You know, we'll be really rude and fill you full of drugs, and take you to over priced tragic nightclubs. AS IF. Can't wait to see you. DH will just have to look after things for a while. |
