Great harvest! Fantastic colours! These onions look amazing. Thanks for sharing your harvest with us. :)

Red Florence, stunning colour. Must keep my eyes peeled for that one.

Ray, i'll have to look at the packets to get the real names for all these onions (and work out some way to hide the labels from the b'birds!!!)

Wow, very nice lomatia. What are the ones that look like shallots?

Italian torpedo onions. I think they are called ROSSA DI FIRENZE - TROPEA not to be confused with the globe Red Florence.

Those Red Florence look amazing Lomatia. I wish I had the room to grow onions apart from spring onions. Tried a few times here and only had one successful year. If you dont get the timing right they all bolt to seed.

did nobody get Ray's joke about keeping your eyes PEELED??. oh, I don't know

I did, but we have a category of jokes in this house/many local houses/schools/mine sites/universities/churches (did I say churches?) and pubs called "Bob/Dad/Mr.Reid/Poppy Jokes" that have many similar 'yeah right' responses.....and an archive like you wouldn't believe. We have an unspoken rule not to humour the joker otherwise they keep coming... I knew there was something about Raymondo that seemed familiar...............
