Onions

These onions are a bit different. Ailsa Craig is an exhibition variety that gets a bit of size to it. Sown in Melbourne not any earlier than late August so comes in late summer/autumn.

This onion is an Italian job ('Cipolla Tropeana Lunga'), commonly called a torpedo onion.

Neither are not good keepers like Creamgold.

RE: Onions

The Torpedoes look lovely, they'd be great roasted with some garlic and carraway seeds?.
