Found a recipe for oven dried tomatoes on recipezarr last night and it had 53 reviews and all raved about it. So, here they are when first put in the oven.
They are a mixture of cherries cut in half and other small toms cut in 3. They are then tossed with 3 tablespoons of chopped basil, 2 tbs of oregano, 2 cloves of fresh garlic crushed, 2 tbs of extra virgin olive oil, and salt and pepper, before going onto the baking paper on trays. Into the oven at 125 deg C for one or two hours and then left in the oven till it cools. Will report back later on the result.

Two hours was not enough so I will give them more time after the chicken that is in the oven is cooked. They are very yummy.

I shouldn't look at this sought of thing when it is lunchtime and I am hungry! That looks great (and the chook sounds good too!). Might try it myself.

What did they taste like? And are you trying to store them for a while or eat them on the spot? If you want to store them, how are you going to do that? (In oil? Freezing? ??)

They are really yummy Spatz. I didn't do them any longer in the oven and froze them in a zip lock freezer bag. We had some with the chook and they were fantastic. The herbs and garlic really give them great flavour. I will be doing a lot more in the coming weekends.

Well, the tommys are succuming in the humidity and rotting on the bench, so another three trays are in the oven. Using some of the larger toms to see how they turn out. This time I will leave them to cool in the oven overnight and freeze them in the morning.
