I won't claim to be an expert but I do have some experience with avocado trees. I do know you need 2 avocado trees to pollinate the blooms to produce fruit. I started my trees from seed in the early spring of 2009, so they've been through 2 seasons of growth. They are about 3-4 feet high, have multiple branches, and this is the first year they are expected to bloom. I've noticed a few budding blooms on both trees already and I hope they produce fruit. They will not survive outside during the winter so make sure they have a sunny window to hang out by during the cold months. Avocado trees are a tropical tree so don't overwater, and you might have to provide shelter if there are too many days of rain. Good luck and I'll post in a few months if there are any fruit.

Good luck with all of them...I have to say even though I have pugged several mango trees and have done it often...even for me, every time I have to pug one of my trees its always nerve racking,lol...you always feel like there's a chance it won't bounce back or take forever to see new growths (especially in potted plants) they recover much slower...its a very drastic thing to do but once they start growing...you can see the wait and apprehension is well worth it for the overall shape and size you're trying to achieve...Good luck to you!! In California that would be a very healthy Manila Mango. IF purple it could be Valencia Pride. Two of the most common here. Where you are,anything that can take high humidity grows like a weed!

What you did was tantamount to bringing a bunch of human babies into your home and immediately stuffing them with a huge gourmet dinner and a few bottles of wine. No wonder they're sick. The best you can do for the time being is to flush the soil with water and cross your fingers. Also try to put them in a position as similar as possible to where they came from as regards light, humidity and temperature. I doubt that is your kitchen table, unless they are only there for the photo.
