Taste of Heather

I wondered if anybody has ever grown Heatherington Pink Tomatoes, and if so, what they taste like. They look amazing, and I'm hoping the taste will match

You are in for a treat! I hated every single one of them last year. I tried and I tried, but they still didn't seem to improve. They were pretty, that's all. I hope they are totally different this year in your place.

I should give Heather another go, but not too soon. Let us know what you think. I really hope last year's was a freak plant and yours is delicious.

My plant was an RL, grew strongly then shutup shop. Set plenty of fruit which diminished as the plant slowed.

But I loved the flavour of those pink medium-sized fruits. Very good indeed. I would grow it again based on the flavour of the fruits I got before the plant went down hill.

I can't imagine anyone hating it and can only suppose Spatz jests.

Enjoy, Grub

Yep, mine is an RL.too. They were of the ones sent by
Craig the Divine last year. They are just a superb looking tommie. I hope you're kidding Spattarella, I really hope the taste matches the appearance.

I'm not kidding, Adamoppy. It tasted terrible in my garden last year. No idea why. I really hope yours will be delicious.

I had the same thing happend with Eva Purple Ball, Ethel Watkins Best and Dr Neal, which I'm trying again. Bad little lemons. I think some seeds need a few years or that they are so old they just aren't good or something else.

The Heatherington Pink were AMAZING. So nice, and a big tommie. Same for the Moldovan Green. A lovely surprise. I think I'll do 'em again next year.

I am very glad to hear that, Adamoppy. Might give it another go next year.

Yes, I love Moldovan Green. And I have harvested Grub's Mystery Green. Will cut up both at the same time for taste comparison.

Wow! I'm excited. So the RL was green when ripe then. You beauty. I have heaps of them on the RL plant. Hope they pass the taste test :)
