Agave Attenuata

Hi All,

We've decided to pull out some agave attenuatas, (we have way too many), so we can plant some yuccas and other succulents. so if any of you would like some, we're selling them off really cheap, starting from $5 for the smaller ones to $60 for the over a metre in diameter ones. Pretty good eh? oh, and we've got them all potted so its easy to get them home in your car.

I popped an ad in the weekend Shopper for Saturday 28th Dec (Pg. 9 ) and will be in there for weeks to come. or alternatively call us on 0404086634. So if your in Brisbane or close to, and are interested, Give me a Buzz.

Greetings from the northern hemisphere,Windsor Ontario Canada to be specific. I am very interested in Agaves, but since 9-11, seeds are no longer available from the states. Can anyone suggest a source down under?

Why wouldn't they have seeds after 9-11. I don't see the significance??

RE: Agave Attenuata

try Arizona Cactus Gardens in Victoria Australia .
They have a very large selection of seeds.
Of course you would need to adhere to your countrys' Quarrantine laws.

Here is a link that might be useful: Arizona Cactus Garden

Hi Beck. It's an old post but I hope you're still here.

You mentioned that you had way too many Attenuata's.

My question is "how" do I get into your position.
ie: how are they best propagated. I have a couple of dozen spread around the place but none of them yet have produced any pups and I'm wondering how/if they can be struck by leaf cuttings.

Thanks in advance\
Paul

We would like to sell about a dozen of these plants, as we bought too many for our garden.
They are all potted and about 5 years old.
We have had MANY, tall, gorgeous flowers from the ones planted in our garden.

RE: Agave Attenuata

My mistake. i mixed up the Agave Attenuata with another succulent which flowers. No flowers on the Agave Attenuata
