lithops seed raising mix ingredients?

I have lithops seeds i want to hurry up and sow, can someone give me the recipe for a mix for it? Also any other tips on how to germinate them, i managed to germinate one years back from a pack of mixed seeds but something ate it:(

I found the following on the net but haven't tested it as yet.

'Any general purpose compost with some added grit to help drainage is suitable or any of the propriety cactus composts is ideal. An occasional feed as for houseplants is permissible but don't over do it, lithops require little in the way of nutrients.'

As with most succulents they shouldn't need feeding for 12 months.

hi a fine high draining mix. i grew some in a mini hothouse pretty easily, some came up within a few days.

I have heaps of lithops and i just use abit of potting mix with alot of sand/grit added and pebbles on top. Main concern is not to water them unless there looking like there shrinking(they do this when they need water)and even then only water them in the morning of a sunny day so they dry back up before dark(as they'll rot).Everyone seems to think there hard to grow but mine are fine and all flowering now. Mine are inside on bright/sunny windowsill though cause if it rains much they'll rot.
