dog-deterring succulent

I have heard that you can get a dog-deterring succulent that isn't all that pretty but it does the job well. My dog keeps eating the small rocks that are in a pot of succulents, and I'm concerned he'll wreck a plant. So far he hasn't but it's annoying that he eats the rocks! Has anyone heard of any succulent that will deter him?
Donna.

Gooday Doona,
I have a source of a smelly dog deterrant ( so called ).
Has a squarish violet flower on it.
Send me an email with your address and I will post a plant.

Thank you so much for that. I received it yesterday and planted it striaght away. So far the dog has left that pot alone.

Dogbane (Coleus cannis) is the most widely recoganised dog deterrent. Apocynum androsaemifolium is another succulent called Dogbane. I think there are quite a few more species called Dogbane.
