dog-deterring succulent

I have heard that you can get a dog-deterring succulent that isn't all that pretty but it does the job well. My dog keeps eating the small rocks that are in a pot of succulents, and I'm concerned he'll wreck a plant. So far he hasn't but it's annoying that he eats the rocks! Has anyone heard of any succulent that will deter him?

Gooday Doona, I have a source of a smelly dog deterrant ( so called ). Has a squarish violet flower on it. Send me an email with your address and I will post a plant. Stationary. |

| Thank you so much for that. I received it yesterday and planted it striaght away. So far the dog has left that pot alone. Donna. |

| Dogbane (Coleus cannis) is the most widely recoganised dog deterrent. Apocynum androsaemifolium is another succulent called Dogbane. I think there are quite a few more species called Dogbane. BrianB |
