| Hi, would love to hear from people growing hoyas, do you know of a good supplier? Would you like to swap some cuttings? I grow about 15 species most of them still young, my pride and joy a fully grown Hoya serpens. |

Hi Bummble I have some Hoyas growing but nowhere near 15 species I am always on the lookout for more though.I have Hoya fungii, obovatta, lacunosa, bella, longifolia, nicholsonae, australis, macgilvrayii,Black Red,and a couple of unknown species. Liddles in NQ are a good supplier of Hoyas if you don't have their address let me know and I will look it up for you.My lacunosa isn't very big anymore after being pruned by the local possums but it is srarting to recover now. Dave61, my collection so far; Hoya acuta, carnosa, carnosa 'Indian Rope' variegated round the leaf edge, carnosa 'Red Button', ciliata, curtisii, diversifolia, gracilis, heuschkeliana, ischnopus, lacunosa, loherii, mindorensis, obscura, purpureafusca, serpens. I don't really aim at collecting all the hoya species, its just that my green house suffered a lot of losses over 8 months that I was looking after a very sick person, also a possum kept breaking in and knocking pots over. After all that mayhem the hoyas were still there and the orchids suffered. Started to look at the Hoyas with more interest and realised just how interesting their foilage can be, with flowers to boot! I've added to the collection concentrating on the ones that appealed the most. Shame about the lacunosa, have you had it long? mine is still in a 2" pot, but has just finished flowering for the first time. Would love to get your suppliers address, do they do mail order? What's your longifolia like? if you can spare a slip, maybe we could swap, if the one you like is big enough. Being in lovely warm Qld. you must be growing yours outdoors, while I run around trying to find a warm spot for them LOL :-) |

Hi Bumble I would like to grow outdoors but like I said possums seem to enjoy eating Hoyas and the possum sprays just seem to be like salad dressing. At the moment I have some outside that the possums don't seem to like but lacunosa has been put in the shadehouse for safekeeping.Looks like we both have some that the other hasn't so if you are interested in atrade let me know. Liddles address is. Liddles Nursery PO Box 794 Mareeba Qld 4880. Good luck Regards Dave61. |

| I don't grow Hoyas', but I do have one that was given to me when I was 17. I am now 58 and my Hoya has been planted in and out of the ground and into pots whenever I have moved house over the years. The only thing that I have done to it, is to cut it back with each shift that I make. It is still looking good and healthy.Looks like it will probably outlast me. |

| Hi all. This is the first time I have posted a message. I grow alot of succulents and love Hoyas too. I got quite a few from Paradise distributors by mail order. I find they have quite a few unusual and interesting plants. Their web address is www.bena-australis.aunz.com/paradise Another usefull mail order site for succulents, especially echeverias is Jocelyn Ainsworth at email address andoran@1earth.net.au. Hope these will help those that are interested. |

I just realized that I should introduce myself. I'm from the U.S., been growing since I was a child, a very young pup. I have been volunteering at the Huntington Gardens for the past 10 years, propagating everything I can lay my hands on, and Hoya is the new species that I study about every night. I also grow the following Crassula, Gasteria Echevieria,Sedum,Sanserviera, Aloe, (mini) Haworthia, Kallanchoe, Cotyledon, Tylecodon, and various other species. I tend to like the miniature specie, varieties, forms. I love to have visitors, from all over the world, also I have been to Australia 2 times, would visit again, at the blink of an eye, you have a wonderful country, and your people are your countrys main assets. I would like to hear from all of you. Crasulady2 |

| I have about eight, i think, and they are all putting on new growth at the moment. They are all tiny little ones that I bought from kmart and big w. It's amazing what you can find! I have carnosa, shepardii, acuta, krinkle, ciliata, obscura, and something else which i can't remember. I've never even seen one in real life but I can't resist the pictures! |

| Marion, didn't see the jade vine flowering at Wonga Bella, but looking at the pics on the web, I know I need one. :) BigW at Maryborough (my closest one) doesn't have the hoyas - in fact they have nothing very exciting at all. Pam |

| I was wondering if any of you know the e-mail address for David Little. I am a collecter in the U.S. and would love to place an order with him, but can't seem to find his e-mail address. Thank You, Patricia |
