Hi

I have germinated Ferocactus by half filling a punnet with seed raising mix and covering that with coarse sand. Scatter the seed on the surface and press gently into the sand (I use a matchbox). Spray with water and wrap in cling wrap. Germination is variable, the first to grow might germinate within two days and the last might take a year.
