Hi all

I have had this Stenocactus for a few years now and it flowered on the weekend.

I'm not sure which type it is.

Possibly one of the numerous forms of S. crispatus, as interpreted in a broad sense in Anderson's 'The Cactus Family'

I'm going to have to call this one this one a Echinofossulocactus that carries spines that are somewhere between a E. xiphacanthus and E. dichroacanthus which means species is "x".

P.S. I saw one very similar to yours at miles2go.com but don't recall if it was listed under Steno. or Echinofossulo..
