dragon fruit craze

Hi all,
I just recieved five cuttings of this dragon fruit plant from a friend and has no clue as of what to do next. Should I just soak it in water for eternity till i see roots? help!!

put it in a pot with some sandy soil. It will take root fairly soon. They need something to hang onto so give them some trellis or a stake.

Yes for goodness sake don't bung it in water. It's probably heeled over by now just do as jancc suggests

I put mine in a cacti seed raising mix and they are off. Got roots traveling out of the pot and lots of new growth.
