To Cactus Country at Strathmerton on the northern Victorian Border.
It is simply the most incredible, amazing place... well worth taking a day and staying over at a motel if you live far away.
Absolute giants, 50 years old, paths everywhere, the barrel cactus have to be seen to be believed, HUGE! I spent three hours there (twice) and still haven't appreciated it all.
I will go back as soon as I can.
You name it, it's there... in late afternoon with the dun dropping down every prickle on the barrel cactus seemed to glow..
Take a cemers aor video camera.
If you are a cactus fan.... please once in your life go to this place...
