Hi folks,
Had a query from someone regards eating the fruit on Ephyllium (my spellings probably as bad as my cooking) cactus, can anyone help?
Thanks- Neil

Hi Neilb,
If you like to try new fruits, try the Epiphyllum fruit, It is realy nice, easier to eat than prickly pear and has a taste of its own. If you can obtain lots of it, try making jam out of it. It makes the best jam in the world. Also, every variety provides a new taste-bud sensation.

Hi Neil,
I have eaten the fruit off my epi's and it tasted like passionfruit on the first one but ghastly on the second one. Spose they are all different.

Hi Neil, I often eat the fruit from my epi's. They have a vaguely passionfruit taste, very juicy with lots of tiny seeds. I have one epi which has abundant smaller sugar pink flowers, I think it's called something like Emma Louise, the fruit on that is tiny and they are just like little sweet berries.
