Sempervivum offsets

My sempervivum has 2 offsets growing from it, one is about 3cm the other 1cm. Is it best to leave the offsets attached to the mother plant or should they be detached, neither offset have their own roots yet.
Thanks Michelle |

Hi Michelle it is probably a matter of personal preferance however I would be tempted to start another plant in case of accidents etc. By all means wait a little longer for the pups to grow roots. Regards Dave61 |

I detached baby semps from my mama plants, and they took forever to grow roots. They are still much much smaller now than the other offsets I left on there. I prefer the clumping look anyway. Lis :) |
