Is it possible to exchange plants via mail with people in Western Australia from other parts of australia???????????

I swap plants with people interstate all the time. Only once was it intercepted by the Dept of Ag in WA. That was because the package was not appropriately sealed.(plant sticking out the end)

Express Post satchels are the way. The prepaid, sealed yellow ones, available from the post office.

I agree whole-heartedly about using Express post satchels for posting plants - normal post has too high a tendency to be delayed within the system.

Beck, you could check the specific requirements of the plant in question with the WA Dept of Ag. One thing I DO know is that NO dirt whatsoever is allowed to be attached to the plant.

apparently you are not supposed to. have done it myself tho. they are sprayed by differnt nurseries that do send them here. some nurseries won't send to wa. you can't bring things in by road or air.
