I have attached a link to a "Field No. Query" website that I found the other day when I searching the web. I typed in the Lau no. and it came up as below

Field number: LAU 1157
Collector: Alfred B. Lau
Species: Mammillaria sphacelata fma.
Locality: above Tomellin, Oaxaca, Mexico 700-1300m
Date: 17/5/1978
Notes: together with Cephalocareus hoppenstedtii, Mammillaria carnea, Ferocactus recurvus, Coryphantha calipensis

Several others, from different forums, have also given me this link. The problem was exacerbated by the fact that somewhere down the track, Lau's number got screwed. It would appear that it should have been Lau 1159, Gymnocactus viereckii fma. (A badly written 9 could easily be transcribed as a 7).
