HEY ALL!.
PLEASE HELP!!
my astrophytum just finished flowering, only lasted about three days (is this normal?) but anyway, i was wondering if theres gonna be some seeds inside the shrivelled up flower for me, (this is the first time its flowered). my guardian angel Lis tells me perhaps i should have pollinated it myself. so what do you all think?
my leninghausii's flower shrivelled up and when i took off the dead flower, seeds came tumbling out, so in my somewhat inexperience i was hoping the astro would do the same!
what have you experienced with your astros!!!???
please dont tell me ive wasted a perfectly good flower!!
Cheers,
Beck.

Hmmm. I've never had any of my Astro's go to seed yet, even with their prolific flowering. Always worth looking though.

Hi,
My astro's only set seeds when I hand-pollinate them. A fat berry will appear soon and grow for several weeks before splitting open.
