pleased to announce my Selenicerus grandiflorus has given birth to TWO queens tonight.
the flowers are quite huge, about bread and butter plate size, cream and white. they were well worth the wait.
they flowered around 8.30pm WA time. the weather has been extemely hot today 45degC today and is quite humid now.
have taken some pics and will try and post them, after figuring out how to do it.

have now got the photos but still working out what to do. the wonders of modern science!! what was wrong with posting a pic in the mail?
anyway i have also identified the blighter. it is a Hylocerus undatus.

Hi I am in a similar situation,as a semi literate computer operator.I have also just started with cacti and have a photo and would like to post it. Any instruction welcomed.

Hi Renatol.recv'd your email ok. this machine is playing up with all the thunderstorms we've been having. we did lose three emails somewhere along the line. when the machine was turned on they shot off the screen into never never land.
