Hi
Does any body have any experiance growing Stapeliad seed. I seem to germinate them OK. Then they shrivel and die. It doesn't seem to be damping off that is causing this problem.I keep my seeds faiely warm sitting on hot pavers I was wondering if the humidity is too high.

Hi Dave, In habitat many (most) stapeliads would germinate under protection of grasslands or shrubs etc. It therefore may be that your position is too hot & sunny and also you may need some more organic material in your seed mix?? Of course Stapeliads are notoriously prone to rot. I have better luck with most of them growing with some shade in the open air. regards Didge
