| Is anyone growing the new red/purple cordylines that have popped up on the market in the last couple of years?
I've got one double potted in full sun that looks barely alive with a lot of dead leaves but my sister has a couple in shade that seem to stay looking nice - watered every day mind you.
Makes me wonder if they're not really suitable for FS? |

| a few of them are supposed to be suited to full sun but mostly cordylines like a filtered spot or part shade.if it says full sun on the tag then chances are they mean in places like vic where most of the tag info seems to be printed fo but in south aus I would go for a more filtered spot. |

| they shouldnt need watering every day and should do fine in sun. I have a red one in sun and wind and it's fine(so far)lol! |

I had to move mine out of the sun they are now in filtered light and doing very well. The most wonderful bright colours of pink/purple I wish I had planted them in that spot years ago.. Mine get watered once a week if they are lucky... |

| I was talking about the "cabbage tree" type. In summer in full sun they look dreadful around here - dead leaves on a stalk. |
