Nearly all species are drought tolerant and are well adapted to Melbourne's heavy clay soils. Most species are ideally suited to small suburban gardens and can be used as formal hedges, as borders, in and around ponds, as screens, in rockeries, as shade, as lawns and even as added security to your property.
