The garden at Alton is now being opened for private group tours. Alton is one of Australia’s most outstanding Hill station properties and gardens, located less than an hour from Melbourne at Mt. Macedon. Alton is principally noted for its large trees, both as a collection and also as individual specimens. The garden also hosts an extensive collection of rhododendrons, azaleas, hellebores and tulips planted on a scale rarely seen in Australia.
